If you've been following my journey then you know the Detroit music scene plays a huge part in my come up. From writing for The Hip Hop Lab, to being inspired by Molly Brazy to help more female rappers to being a vast listener and supporter of Coach Joey and Vae Vanilla. Earlier this year, a new female rapper from Detroit caught my eye and I had to tap in. Pretty Brayah was not only a pretty face with a bangin body but she had the bars to match. I started listening to her catalog and instantly became a supporter. Pretty Brayah illustrated in a lot of her music, that she was a girl like many of us that got our heartbroken and ended up outside. Hints the heartbreak emoji, she often uses to symbolize her brand. Now, although Pretty Brayah has dropped some pretty good songs and bodies all her features. When she dropped "Midwest" in June, I knew she was ready for mainstream. Last month, she followed up with an anthem for the ladies stuck in the house entitled "Let Her Be A Slut". Last week, She announced her signing to Empire Records on Instagram with the caption "Feels good to get signed and it ain't a 360. I was already turnt before Gazi came to get me." I really appreciate Empire for signing the real rappers in an era of social media rappers. Pretty Brayah released her first video following the signing entitled "Get Off". Check it out below:
