If you know me, you know I'm not a huge fan of the drill scene because I truly value real bars. When I listen to music, I want to hear a message or be able to visualize what the artist may have been going through at that moment. Leeky G Bando appeared on my radar sometime in 2021 and he's definitely one of the drill rappers that I favor. It seems like every other week there's a new drill rapper but not many of them seem to be saying anything in their lyrics. Fortunately, I can't say the same for Leeky. Last week, the Brooklyn rapper released a two track video "All My Life/Brazy". In the intro he raps "You don't love, you want to distract me; I got off my a** and made it happen". He then went on to say "We didn't have money, we robbed and we jacked It... I ain't saying it's cool; I see shorties who f*ck with my music I tell them stay up in school". I really valued that last line because it seems as if we're in an era where no one is guiding the youth in the right direction. With the right backing and development, I can see Leeky going far as an artist. Check out his latest video "Jump" below:
