If you've been following my journey for some time now, you know that Detroit plays a huge role in my story. Thus, two years ago; I decided to launch a playlist entitled NYC 2 Detroit curated by myself and Detroit's own Kilz The Don. Kilz is a serial entrepreneur, tastemaker, audio engineer and executive producer. A few days ago, the 24 year old mogul launched his very first mixtape entitled I Got Rapper Friends; mixed, masted and executive produced by himself. Similar to what DJ Khaled has made popular as well as DJ Drama with his Gangsta Grillz series. Kilz used this mixtape to illustrate his ability to put together a great body of music. Using his strong relationships with Detroit rappers to make it happen. The 13 track project is available on all streaming platforms and features a variety of bangers. Shit Talkin with Donna Symone, Off The Rim with WTM Scoob and Pull The Plug with Rich Ash being fan favorites. Aside from the rappers on the project, the production was definitely on point. Featuring beats from people like platinum producer Reuel StopPlaying, Prod LoKey, SpazOutStev and Produced By Reg.Could this be Detrot's project of the summer?
