Envy Caine is known as one of the pioneers of disrespectful Brooklyn Drill rap. Back in August 2021, he released an interview with me on his YouTube channel from Federal Prison courtesy of Ock Films. In this interview, we discussed the evolution of Envy Caine, the originators of disrespectful drill rap, and what the future looked like for him. Although, we touched on a lot of topics we never really talked about why he was in there in the first place. In December 2019, he was arrested for the incident involving ABG Neal which can be found all over Youtube. In the summer of 2020, he cashed out on 500k bail and released the legendary drill song "Target Practice". Shortly after releasing three projects; No Regets, Trenches, and Black Friday. Which all have over 100k streams on Spotify. Simultaneously releasing over 20 videos on his Youtube channel which has over 1 million views. Proving to be not only one of the most consistent but hard-working drill rappers. At the beginning of 2021, Envy Caine released another project entitled Coka Jigga. But this time he would really illustrate his life through his music. I personally believe Coka Jigga is his best body of work to date. Unfortunately, in July of 2021, Envy Caine was arrested by the Feds while shooting a video for his birthday in Brooklyn. Allegedly, he and his co-defendant another popular Drill rapper Coach Da Ghost visited a gun range in Atlanta. Something that is forbidden to felons; garnering them both gun charges. Envy Caine was sentenced to 10 months in prison. While serving this time the ABG Neal case would resurface; forcing him to serve over 4 years concurrently with a projected release date of March 2024. During this current incarceration, Envy Caine released an LP entitled The Reason alongside 11 singles including the most recently released single "Blogger" featuring popular Brooklyn rapper 2 Milly. Over the years, Envy Caine has released a plethora of music and videos through his independent label Forever Situated Records managed by Larkin Family Entertainment. Collaborating with people like Red Cafe, PNV Jay, 22Gz, Nas Blixky, Coach Da Ghost, Mori Briscoe, Swinderella, Mani The Mogul and so much more. Consistently proving that he isn't afraid to collaborate with or challenge just about anybody on a track. Although his entertaining presence is missing from social media. Fans can still be found in blog page comments taunting other Drill fans about his return to the streets. Do you think he still holds the crown of disrespectful Brooklyn Drill?
