Two days ago marked the start of the 3rd quarter. Some artist are working hard to make up for whatever they lacked in the first part of the year. While others are trying to triple their work ethic and end the year stronger than ever before. In an era of Hip Hop that has so much creativity and versatility, the Industry has opened up the door to so many new artist. With all of the options of artist to listen to, people have started to listen to full projects less and playlist of their favorite artist combined more. Playlist are great but there are still some artist producing projects that can be enjoyed straight through. Right now, Dj Khaled and Tyler The Creator have the top projects on the Billboard charts. Therefore I'm sure you’re all tuned into those super dope albums. Here are 9 projects to stream this week if you haven’t already:
ZUU - DENZEL CURRY
Denzel Curry’s latest album ZUU is a must listen to. I’ve heard the Miami native’s name floating around the industry but I’ve never actually had a chance to sit down and listen to him. Honestly, I’m happy that I finally did because he is super dope. Denzel Curry paints pictures of Miami street life using a great deal of flows. His album features songs with people like Rick Ross, Kiddo Marv and Sam Sneak.
43VA HEARTLESS - MONEYBAGG YO
Moneybagg Yo has been one of my favorite artist for the past year or so. He is definitely one of the more consistent artist, releasing three projects in 2018. The Memphis native illustrates street code and hood love in his latest project 43VA HEARTLESS. MoneyBagg Yo goes bar for bar with Lil Durk and Kevin Gates on one track and then links up with City Girls to go back and forth “For The Moment”.
BIG RENNI - RENNI RUCCI
Female rapper Renni Rucci is coming right on up. The South Carolina native appeared on my radar when she released a remix to Lil Baby’s “Freestyle”. The leader of the Wolf Pack has been working hard to put her name on the map and has been doing a great job at it. Big Renni is her first project and it contains banger after banger.
WILDBOY - CAL BOY
Cal Boy is one of the youngest doing it. The 18 year old rapper’s single “Envy Me” took the internet by storm accumulating millions of streams. The single is the first track on his project, Wildboy that was released a few days ago. Wildboy features tracks with people like Meek Mill, Lil Durk MoneyBagg Yo, Yo Gotti and more.
FEVER - MEGAN THEE STALLION
Megan Thee Stallion was quickly added to the conversation of best rising female rappers. The Texas native’s freestyles can be found all over social media as Hip Hop lovers pay homage to her clever bars. Megan Thee Stallion released a 14 track project, Fever which features nothing but heat and songs with Da Baby and Juicy J.
SPRING TIME PASTELLS - 183RD & MANOLO ROSE
Bronx native and producer 183rd links with Brooklyn’s reputable rapper Manolo Rose for new project. Spring Time Color Pastells is a 14 track project that gives authentic New York Hip Hop vibes. The two are said to have been influenced by Wu Tang’s Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. If you’re not familiar, the cover art Is inspired by Ghostface’s Ironman that was released in 1996.
S TO THE N.O 2 - SNOOPY DINERO
Rising rapper Snoopy Dinero is definitely a vibe. He has been featured on tracks with fellow Bronx natives A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Remy Ma. Snoopy Dinero’s latest project S To The N.O 2 is said to have been put together in two weeks which is impressive given the content. On the project, Snoopy Dinero raps about his experiences and growth.
Ii Say, That. - Reign
R&B group Reign brings a vibe that we haven’t heard since girl groups like Destiny’s Child, 3LW and Blaque. They released a single back in August entitled “Reasons” which quickly became a favorite to many girls. This single is the first track on their project Ii, Say That. which features songs with female rappers like Lady London and Jazzi Corleone.
4:30 - BAGGBCHASING BIGGS
Baggchasing Biggs was said to be one of the leaders of the new school by Tr3yway's Shotti in an interview with Hot 97's DJ Drewski. The rising rapper released a project entitled 4:30 where he expresses challenges with friends being incarcerated and chasing the bag.
