Louisiana’s 504IcyGrl appeared on my radar last July when she released Missy Elliot sampled single “Work”. I remember being extremely impressed with her story. 504IcyGrl was just 23 but had launched New Orleans very first Cannabis company. Not only was she a super dope artist but a great example of a young women entrepreneur. Since then, I have seen 504IcyGrl continue to display just that. Putting on for girls everywhere and illustrating nonetheless of girl power. Collaborating with other popular female rappers like CeeFineAss and Detroit’s Vae Vanilla. Being a super big advocator for women empowerment and female rap; I have always been a fan of the 504IcyGrl movement. Thus, I was super excited a couple of months ago when she revealed that she wanted me to host her NYC stop on her Princess Diairies Tour. After deliberating with her team, we soon announced that Brooklyn’s Billy B would headline alongside 504IcyGrl. Fans quickly began to purchase tickets excited to see Billy B perform for 504IcyGrl’s first time in NYC. The vibes on the night of the show were completely unmatched. Everyone in the room was super happy to be there and genuinely enjoyed the show. Jasmyn Milan opened up on the perfect note and had the crowd yearning for more. 504Icygrl then came out out and illustrated what it was like to be a Trap Princess from NOLA. Transitioning into to Cali Kilo who brung out Asiaa Goldie before having the crowd chanting “F*ck My Ex B*tch”. The perfect intro for the aggressive energy that New York rappers like Billy B bring. The crowd was super excited to find out that Billy B’s set included a performance from New York favorites Connie Diiamond and Lola Brooke. Last but certaintly not least, the show ended with a performance from Byrd Gang’s own Yellow Tapee, who left everyone in awe that every artist had a truly amazing performance. I'm super excited to see the aftermath of the Princess Diaries Tour becaue it's only up from here for 504Icygrl.
