7 Dope Female Rappers You Might Not Know

If you’re not familiar, I created my blog a few years ago in hopes of building a platform for females who not only listen to but make Hip Hop music. My ultimate goal is to build a media outlet where Cosmopolitan meets Complex. Since the beginning of Hip Hop blogs, there has not been anything like it. Most Hip Hop blogs cater to men and in an industry where female rappers are becoming more prominent, it’s only right that we have a place for us. I pride myself on following female rappers more so than men and giving them all the spotlight that they deserve. Below is 7 female rappers you may not know about but should get in tune with:

Miamor is a clever lyricist. Hailing from Queens, NY it is kinda inevitable that she would give early Nicki Minaj vibes. Miamor releases a lot of throw away freestyles on Instagram that get picked up by female rapper pages. It’s only a matter of time before her name goes up. Check out her latest video "Nasty B*tch":

Og MarlynMonROLLUP is known for affiliation with the Crip community. The Brooklyn native has gone viral on social media platforms with single “Blue Clues” and freestyle to Casanova’s “Set Trippin” featuring Billy B, Banga Loc and Gino Mondana. She recently released a video entitled “High Fashion” which shows her versatility as an artist. Check it out below:

The City of Detroit has a lot of talented rappers and Honey OSO happens to be one of them. Apparently, the talent runs in the family because her twin brother OSO Crazy is also a rapper. Honey OSO is most recently known for her verse on Asian and Cuban Doll’s “Gangsta B*tch” which is currently at 3 million views. With a little more consistency, she can definitely make a bigger name for herself. Check out her freestyle to Lil Kim's "Crush On You" below:

Hood Brat is well respected on the Miami rap scene. Formerly apart of a girl group called The Step Sisters, she is now working on her solo career. Since being solo, she has released two projects. Her projects Hood Brat and Vonda contain features from people like Baby Soulja, Kamillion, Sukihana and a few others. Check out her freestyle to Blueface's ""Thotiana" below:

Hailing from the Palm Beach section of Florida comes Dej Rose Gold. A lot of people know her for her previous relationship with Kodak Black. Although, Dej Rose Gold has never released a full body of work her music definitely rings bells in Florida. When I listen to her, I automatically get Trina and Jacki-O vibes. If Dej Rose Gold decides to go hard with this music thing she will be competition for a lot of southern female rappers.

Pineapple Citi is a dope artist from New Jersey. Some people know her for receiving a lot of blog coverage surrounding a song entitled “Rose Colored” that was believed to be copied by 50 Cent for his track “On Something” back in 2017. Pineapple Citi also appeared on Sway In The Morning for a freestyle with Cipherella. Most recently, she has released a project entitled neonBLUE. Listen to her single "Sauce" below:

In a current era of bubble gum and mumble rap, Lady London is proof that there are still girls with real bars. The Eastcoast native is known for her gritty freestyles that still promote positivity and being educated. Not only is Lady London a lyricist, but an author and poet. When I listen to her, I think of a female version of Nas. With more exposure, Lady London could bring alot of pressure to the female rap game. Listen to her "Poundcake" freestyle below:
