About two years ago, Beyonce filed a lawsuit against a company for putting a change of letter on her name to sell apparell and accessories. The company replaced the "B" in Beyonce's name with a "F", a play on words that recalls the term "fiance." Beyonce claimed the products were an infrindgment of her trademark rights and would confuse consumers. Apparently, a U.S District Judge by the name of Alison Nathan disagreed, saying that although the company may have tried to capitilize off of her name, it is not a clear threat to her name. Nathan ordered both parties to discuss a possible settlement and trial date.
