Cardi B has been working very hard over the past couple of years to make and maintain a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Up until now, everything seemed to be working out in her favor. It was announced a few days ago that the "Bodak Yellow" rapper was being sued by her former manager for $10 million which includes a breach in contract and defamation of character. Cardi B's former manager who goes by the name of Shaft claims that he discovered the artist but was cut out of the equation once she reached a certain success. Shaft's documents show Cardi B at a 20% commission rate and that he also signed her to an outside company that gets access to 50% of her music royalties from Atlantic Records, 50% of her music copyrights, and 25% of all of her additional earnings. This seems like it may be a hard one for Cardi to come out on top of but I wish her the best with everything especially since she is expecting.
