Rapper Kevin Gates is asking for a restraining order against John R. Baldwin, who is the Director and Ned Shwartz, who is a parole officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections. He is requesting the order after being denied to travel over the next couple of months. If you're not familiar Kevin Gates, was released in January after serving just nine months of his thirty month sentence for gun possession. Since being released, he has been allowed to travel on only two occasions. If Kevin Gates is unable to travel, he will miss several performances including the JMBLYA Festival, Rolling Loud, the BET Awards and the Common Ground Festival in Michigan. This will cause a serious decrease in earnings for the rapper. Do you think rappers should be able to travel although they are on probation?
