[Event Chat] Black Girls Have Tea Parties Too

Long pearls, puffy dresses, big hats and a group of Harlem's little black beauties. Black Girls Have Tea Parties Too is an event cultivated by Harlem native and youth advocate Kelly Snider. The Harlem hero spent 6 years of her life as an educator, where she realized that urban communities lack positive events for young girls. Thus, her Tea Party idea came about. With the help of other community activists, family and a few teenage girls Kelly is now in the process of planning her 3rd annual Black Girls Have Tea Parties Too. During the event, the girls gather around and eat pastries while drinking tea. They discuss everyday issues like race, self esteem and inner beauty. They are even blessed with a 30 minute etiquette class where they learn the tools to be the perfect little lady. Salute to Kelly Snider for putting on for the community.
